Our story
"Who actually enjoys this?" we thought after spending two frustrating hours
at a local retail store, wading through book after book of wallcoverings, trying to keep our two young children entertained. It was a weekend, the store closed early and help
was scarce. After explaining that we were looking for a wallpaper and border combination with
a certain color to match our existing decor, the sales associate pointed us at a wall of
books and said to search on our own.
We finally found a couple of samples. To bring these
home required us to lug entire books home (after putting a credit card deposit down and filling
out a form). We had to return them to the store 24 hours later. Things got busy and we could
not make it back until Tuesday. On Monday we received an irate call from the
wallpaper store saying the books were overdue, another customer was waiting, and
could we drive them back to the store immediately.
From this frustrating experience, the idea of Wallpetals was born - an online
